London · Freelance Brand Designer & Art Director

Brands, built
one-to-one.

I'm Marcelle — a freelance brand designer and art director. I work directly with founders and in-house teams on identity, campaigns, social-first content and Shopify design. One creative voice, end-to-end.

Marcelle Adrianna

Hi, I'm Marcelle

I've spent the last decade designing for brands that couldn't afford to look generic — and I still can't.

I started in photography, moved into art direction, then brand identity, then everything in between. Along the way I founded my own DTC beauty brand (Cellie's Curls) — so I know what it's like to be on the other side of a design brief, watching the clock and the P&L at the same time.

That's the thing I bring to freelance work: commercial instinct wrapped inside genuinely good taste. No fluff, no committee, no drop-in-quality between the pitch and the file.

What I do

Four things,
done properly.

01

Brand Identity

Logos, wordmarks, visual systems and guidelines for founders launching (or relaunching) something they want people to take seriously.

How it works

Three steps.
No agency theatre.

01

Intro call

We hop on a 20-minute call so I can hear what you're building, what's in the way, and where I might actually be useful. No slide deck, no sales pitch.

02

Scope & proposal

Within a few days I'll send back a written proposal with scope, timeline and a fixed price. If it works, we book you in.

03

The work

I work as an extension of your team — one direct line, weekly check-ins, files delivered on the dates we agreed. When it's done, it's yours.

What clients say

"

Marcelle is the rare creative who can hold the strategy AND deliver the file. She ran our launch campaign end-to-end and it looked like we'd hired an agency three times the size.

Founder, DTC beauty brand

"

The clearest, calmest freelancer I've ever worked with. Brought a point of view on day one and never wavered from it.

Head of Brand, fashion retailer

"

She translated a vague founder-brief into a visual identity we're still using two years later. Every asset holds up.

FAQs

A few things
worth asking.

Not here? Ask me directly →

I'm a freelance senior creative. When you hire me, you get me — not an account manager, not a junior designer relaying briefs. For projects that need extra hands (photography, motion, dev) I bring in trusted collaborators I've worked with for years.

Brand identity work, campaign direction, social-first content, and Shopify/digital design — usually for fashion, beauty, lifestyle and founder-led DTC brands. If you're not sure whether your project is a fit, send it over and I'll tell you honestly.

It depends on scope. Small identity projects start around £3.5k; full campaign or Shopify builds sit higher. Every project gets a written proposal with a fixed price before we start — no hourly billing, no scope surprises.

I usually have capacity within 2–4 weeks. Urgent turnarounds are possible for the right project — just say so on the enquiry form.

Both. I'm London-based and happy to come into your studio for kickoffs and shoots. Day-to-day work runs on Slack, Notion, Loom and Figma — I've worked with teams in NYC, LA and across Europe this way.

Yes. If you'd rather have me as a rolling creative partner than book project-by-project, I take on one or two ongoing clients at a time.

Ready when you are

Let's build
something good.

One creative. One direct line. A short waiting list.
